In the Heuvelgalerie, opposite the Muziekgebouw Eindhoven, a space has opened for all Eindhoven residents: This is Tourist Information Eindhoven. A brand store featuring Eindhoven products and an exhibition that transports visitors to the city’s future. As an extension of the brand store, the light artwork floats in the main hall.
Besides its impressive character, it combines multiple functions. The object is a free interpretation of the map and skyline of Eindhoven, with its high-rise and low-rise buildings. Icons such as St. Catherine’s Church, the Blob, and, of course, PSV’s Philips Stadium are emphasized to help visitors orient themselves. The programmable lighting provides endless possibilities for using the city as a means of communication. Below the city, the striking railway line and rivers hang in a layered whole. A large button in the hall allows visitors to see Eindhoven’s growth, change, and future through spectacular and informative animations.
Eindhoven is growing and changing rapidly. More and more people want to live, work, study, and enjoy the city here. How is the city responding to this? Find out during the weekly presentation at the Open Eindhoven Expo.
Come and see!
