The installation arose from our fascination for everything earthly. We were inspired by the way Philips, the company that made Eindhoven the city it now is, did their research back in the day they still dominated the city. They were confronted with impossible scientific issues on a daily basis. Yet they always succeeded in coming up with innovative solutions, or sometimes they stumbled upon something completely different in their search.

The six objects in the installation each have their own unique characteristics and symbolize the discoveries that Philips did in the past. Those discoveries each had their own impact on the environment and society. We visualized this buy constantly transforming the space around he objects with their forms and reflections.
